Creating My Baroque Floral Pattern

I hand-drew this scroll floral pattern using various thicknesses of black pen. A baroque scroll has always been a timeless style in fashion and interior design. Its shapes harmonize beautifully with the elegant and organic forms found in nature. The whimsical floral design is easy on the eyes and looks stunning on beautiful silk dresses and tops. I scanned my ink drawing into Photoshop and filled in the scroll and floral shapes with a cream off-white and a vibrant orange. Creating my repeated tile was a joy.

I love designing patterns and rearranging the shapes, ensuring that the lines and flow of the pattern guide your eyes on a journey. I avoid harsh straight lines that could disrupt the overall flow. For my background colour, I chose a minty green that complements the other colours perfectly.

If you are interested in this pattern, you can find it in my Spoonflower shop where it’s available in various fabrics, soft furnishings, and wallpaper. I can also be contacted for bespoke patterns or collaborations.

Thank you for following my journey!
